I am very excited to announce that our new school building is nearing completion. The builders are in the process of completing the final snags and handover is on Monday 26th of August. We plan to set up classrooms that week and to facilitate this process we will open the school to children on Friday (30th) instead of Thursday as originally planned. This day will be a half day closing at 12:15 to allow staff to complete the set-up of the remaining parts of the school. We will be back to normal school hours on Monday 2nd September.
I know you are all curious to see the building and you are very welcome to accompany children into their classrooms after yard collection at 8:45.
This does not affect the start and finish time for the new Junior Infants (9-12).
As always, I hugely appreciate your understanding and support with the move. I am very confident that the children will be impressed with their new surroundings and happy in our new home in Sandymount. I will email you all once class teachers are assigned as this process is ongoing.
