We would like to extend a massive THANK YOU to the 2018-2019 PTA Committee for all its hard work and effort on behalf of the kids and parents of Shellybanks last school year. On October 9th, the PTA Committee met and elected new committee members who are happy to serve the Shellybanks community. More information and/or questions can be directed to the PTA email address. firstname.lastname@example.org

We will be hosting a Halloween themed dress-up day in aid of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital on Friday 25th October. Children are invited to dress up in a Halloween costume or any costume of their choice on that day and bring a donation for the Temple Street Fundraiser. Children can also bring in a treat with their lunch, please be mindful of allergies, no nuts or eggs.
This week in Shellybanks is ‘STEM week’. The children will be carrying out different activities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. There will also be a project for children to work on at home for homework. We hope the children enjoy all the activities we have organised.

We will have weekly lessons until December with music teacher Nora. The cost is 14 euro per child for 10 sessions. We have purchased ukuleles using the Covanta fund. We have been eager to teach the children an instrument and the ukulele is very good for teaching melody, composition and harmony and it is great to sing along to. The other third class and second class will have lessons later in the year.
The PTA Annual General Meeting will take place at school on 2 October. We will elect the PTA Committee for the 2019-2020 school year, and hear a talk relevant to the raising of elementary-aged children. If you have any questions about joining the PTA in advance of the meeting, please don’t hesitate to email! firstname.lastname@example.org
